Kristen La Follette recently moved to New York from Northern California to study in the Oral History M.A. program at Columbia University. Prior to her enrollment, she served developmentally disabled students as a transition specialist. In that position, she was able to assist students to secure employment, enroll in community college, and obtain placement in adult programs. As an undergraduate, she studied at California State University at Monterey Bay. There she earned a B.A. in Human Communication, with a concentration in Creative Writing and Social Action, along with a minor in Global Studies.
Kristen volunteered at Groundswell: Oral History for Social Change as our documentarian. She took all the video and beautiful photos from the gathering, which are featured on this site. Thank you, Kristen!
