Maggie Schreiner

Maggie Schreiner is an MA candidate in Archives and Public History at NYU. As an academic and activist, she is interested in the creation of historical memory in organizing for social justice. Since moving to New York City in September 2010, Maggie has worked at the Tamiment Library and Robert F. Wagner Labor Archives, processing audio and oral history collections from the Communist Party USA; and has also interned at the International Coalition of Sites of Conscience, as a member of the Guantanamo Public Memory Project team, and with Radical History Review. Over the next year, Maggie will be working with the Metropolitian Council on Housing to make their archive accessible through an oral history and digitization project.
