  • Mini-Workshop on Using a Smartphone to Capture Oral History

7:30 - Listen Hard: Stories of Resistance & Resilience

We'll listen to and reflect together on powerful oral history interview excerpts from three social justice documentation projects:

Hosted by Groundswell Oregon, a network of oral historians, activists, storytellers, cultural workers, community organizers, and documentary artists. Groundswell's mission is to provide mutual support, training, and resources in the practice of applied, community-based oral history in order to build the creativity and power of social justice movements.

The event is a fundraiser for Groundswell's scholarship fund for the 2015: Oral History for Movement Building Network Gathering at this year's Allied Media Conference.

Food and beverages are graciously provided by our sponsors at the
University of Oregon's Turnbull Center.

Suggested sliding scale donation for each event is $5-$20 or both events for $10-$40.

Donations will also be accepted at the door.
